Ransom A. "Squirt" Edwards, 64, of 210 W. First St., died at midnight Wednesday (Oct. 30, 1974) at the Americana Nursing Home, where he had been a patient since Oct. 11. He retired in 1965 as operator of the Diamond T. & White Trucking Sales Co. He had also operated his own truck service. His hobbies were fishing, camping and motorcycles. He was born Nov. 20, 1909, in Danville, the son of Charles and Stella Ransom Edwards. He married Olive Forrest July 23, 1932, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jean (Virginia) Davis and Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Gulledge, both of Danville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Nelson will officiate, and burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
